Your Dragon mail has crossed the German borders! We are thrilled to present you with a very special review today. The French rum connoisseur and content creator Jim (known as Rhumicalement Jim) has taken a close look at our Old Dragon Spiced Banana Rum.
France is considered a land of sophisticated palates when it comes to fine spirits. This makes us even prouder of what Jim has to say about our “liquid dragon”.
The expert’s verdict
In his latest reel, Jim takes his followers on a journey of indulgence to Germany. His verdict is clear:
“An original Spiced Rum that clearly stands out from the mass-produced products on the market.”
What impressed Jim in particular:
- The base: He praises the aromatic complexity created by the combination of 5-year-old Jamaican rum and 3-year-old Venezuelan ron.
- The ingredients: The artisanal banana distillate and real Madagascar vanilla make the decisive difference for him.
- The potential: He doesn’t just see our rum as a highlight when enjoyed neat; he expressly recommends it as an exciting base for high-quality mixology and cocktails.

Even if you don’t speak French – the enthusiasm on Jim’s face needs no translation! You can watch the video directly here:

We say: Merci beaucoup, Jim! It is an honor that our Old Dragon could be part of your flavorful world tour.

The French success story continues… By the way, Jim is not the only expert from our neighboring country who has caught fire. The ball was recently set rolling by the well-known reviewer ‘Quel Rhum Choisir’. He was the first in France to bridge the gap between my work as a tattoo artist here in Dinkelsbühl and the aromatic complexity of the Old Dragon. It is inspiring to see how the French community – from the connoisseurs of the first hour to mixology experts like Jim – celebrates our vision of an artisanal spiced rum.
